Oil Diffusion Pumps
Leybold's oil diffusion pumps are designed to achieve high vacuum levels and are ideal for applications requiring high pumping speeds and gas throughput. Our pump catalog includes DIFFVAC DP and DIFFVAC OB.
Oil Diffusion pumps always require a backing pump for operation to remove the compressed gas from the system. These pumps operate by heating an oil sump to create a vapor jet that transports gas molecules out of the pump chamber. The DIFFVAC DP-Line is the perfect pump for achieving maximum pumping speed at the lowest pressure, while the DIFFVAC OB-Line is the best solution for maximum gas throughput combined with high pumping speed for the toughest applications. The pumping speed of Leybold's oil diffusion pump ranges from 43200 m³/h up to 180.000 m³/h, while the working range varies between 10^-2 to 10^-7. Innovations such as energy-efficient heating systems, insulation jacket add-ons, and advanced nozzle designs reduce oil consumption and improve condensation efficiency.
