Oil Diffusion Pumps

Oil Diffusion pumps produce high vacuum and operate with a fast-moving stream of pump fluid in vapor form (oil vapor). All fluid-entrainment pumps have a similar pumping mechanism where the pump fluid is heated by the electrical heater vessel and the oil vapor expands after passing through the jet stack nozzles. The pumped gas molecules diffuse into the vapor stream and exit out of the pumping chamber.

DIFFVAC OB

Leybold’s DIFFVAC OB series booster pumps are a new level of productivity and robustness for the industrial market. Ideal for even the harshest applications, the DIFFVAC OB series ensure easy maintenance and high vacuum performance too. As oil vapor booster pumps, they are always operated in conjunction with forevacuum pumps. They are water-cooled and built on the oil diffusion principle and are used to evacuate vacuum chambers.

The DIFFVAC OB series of oil vapor boosters are ideally suited for processes where you need pumping speed and gas-throughputs, which could not be covered by mechanical booster pumps.

DIFFVAC OB 630 is available in 400V ~ 3Ph. 50 Hz and 460V ~ 3Ph. 60 Hz. These pumps are accessory-ready variants

 

Features and Benefits

  • The features of OB series allow direct heating concept ensures a fast heat-up time and the large oil volume a long standby time. Even dust and dirt have no influence on the OB series’ vacuum performance. The sludge tank draining also enables removal of collected dust for cleaner operations and easier maintenance. The pumps also have energy efficiency options like Energy Efficiency Controller (EEC) to reduce your carbon footprint. The pump also focuses on safety with the default monitoring of oil and heater temperature. The thermostat sensor in heating inserts switches it off as soon as the temperature exceeds the pre-set- this protects your pump and the overall process.
